Grand Banks 47 Europa Design 2697

I'm currently attending the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. Here is hull number 100 of the Grand Banks Heritage 47 series, design #2697. This is the Europa model. We also designed a "Classic" model.

Here is the layout.

And a couple of interior images. Note the arrangement shown below differs from the general arrangement plan shown above. You can substitute 2 loose chairs and an entertainment center on starboard for the settee that's shown in the arrangement plan. Interior images courtesy of Grand Banks.

Design 2201 Swan 47

The Swan 47 was the 11th S&S design prepared for Nautor of Finland. The boats were introduced in 1974. 70 boats were produced in a production run that lasted until 1979. Construction quality was extremely high with plans and materials as well as construction certified by Lloyd's. The design was optimized to rate well under the I.O.R. Rule but she is also a fine cruising boat. They are still desirable boats today.

A centerboard model was also developed.

Here are the plans.

Grand Banks 47 Classic Design 2697

Here's the Grand Banks 47 Classic. The boat distinctly retains the styling of the older 42 Classic but is designed to run efficiently at much higher speed. The boat does 20+ knots with the standard CAT C7, 455hp engines. Larger engines are offered.

The old GB42 classic was a very successful design. Over 1,500 boats were built.

Here are some interior shots. All images courtesy of Grand Banks.
